Well done to all of those children who are working so hard.
I know that many of you have made a start with your 'Dark is . . . ' poem and I am still reading through some of your first verses but I just wanted to share this example that I have been sent!
The author wishes to remain anonymous but was happy for their work to be published! Hopefully as the next week goes on, and once they are all complete, we will have many more fantastic examples!
Dark is . . .
Dark is beautiful.
It engulfs the landscape
With its dark hands like a giant hug.
It releases hundreds of bright stars,
All dancing and twinkling in the sky.
Dark disappears slowly,
Like the snow being melted in the morning sun,
Carrying away a suitcase full of dreams.
