At our school, Election Day provides pupils with a valuable opportunity to experience one of the key British Values: Democracy. Pupils take part in a real voting process, learning how individuals can have a voice and influence decisions that affect their community. Through campaigning, voting and respecting the choices of others, children develop an understanding of fairness, responsibility and active citizenship. Election Day helps our pupils appreciate the importance of democracy and the role they can play in shaping the world around them. Our school governors count the vote and results are announced in worship.
