On Wednesday 15th June, Year 6 attended a special leaver’s service at Winchester Cathedral. It was here that ‘ACE’ our school sheep had its first trip out. The sheep had been made by the year 6 children and illustrated what our values of love, hope and forgiveness means to them. Three children from the class read in front of a huge audience in the service – we were extremely proud of them as this took a great deal of courage. The service was a very special occasion that the children should remember always.
On Wednesday 8th June, year 6 attended the University of Winchester to find out more about what it was like to go to university. The children were able to take part in a tour of the campus, a forensics workshop, a volleyball session and an interactive quiz. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and lots even came back saying that they would consider going when they were old enough.
