Using your plan and re-looking at the book and examples of diary entries you are going to write your own diary entry detailing the events that happened when Mount Vesuvius erupted, as the main character Tranio. Remember to include all the features you have identified and all the parts on your plan and try to use similes and metaphors in your descriptions. Your job today is two write the first 2-3 paragraphs of your diary entry. If you need help you can use the writing frame below. When you have finished these paragraphs use your checklist to edit your work (you can use the example below or use the checklist you created when you looked at the example diary entries). Also, remember the basics like full stops and capital letters, neat and cursive handwriting, sound out your spellings using your phonics and check them using a dictionary.
