Look at the picture from Pongo within the documents folder and think about what the different characters might be saying. Maybe ask an adult to help create some ideas. Then please look at the document I have attached with speech written on. Please think about where you would put the speech marks in the text. After this, please look at the other pictures I have uploaded from Pongo and complete writing speech with speech marks. How do the characters feel? Would different characters speak in different ways?
Please complete and cut out the missing 3’s and 4's worksheet. This will help you develop your knowledge of the three and four times tables. If you would like to then try the sequencing activity this will apply your knowledge.

How would we make some of these colours? Think back on last terms learning about blending. Then, if you have any paints at home practice mixing colours imagining what you might see within the northern lights. Remember to ask an adult if this is okay first.
Please draw a picture of and write a character description for your own animal. Please include similies to add further description and comparisons of your animal. After that, please write 5 synonyms for said that your character might use. For example, does your character whisper or scream? Write something they might say using the correct punctuation for speech.
Using repeated addition please answer the bar model semi-filled questions for the 3 times tables questions supported with a number line. Then please try to answer the additional semi-filled three times tables multiplications.
Looking at the pictures provided, one of Shackleton and one of the Endurance, create a list of 5 questions you might like to find out about the man and the boat. Now look at the picture of the Antarctic, what other questions do we want to find out, including questions about climate and how humans are able to survive in these habitats. Please then look at the following phrase on the board: “Shackleton’s Antarctic Expedition” and continue writing some questions you want to find out.

Using the template provided please plot the main events for your own story and draw your storyboard. Please then practice writing the first paragraph of the story on some paper.
Please continue your learning from yesterday and complete the 4’s semi filled bar model questions. You can use and draw a number line to help assist you with answering questions. Then please answer the mastery-based activity 1.
Think about what a healthy diet is. Maybe discuss this with an adult. Then please complete the healthy diet food sorting activity in the resources provided.
Please complete your storyboard and write your opening sentence. Make sure you include appropriate punctuations, speech marks and that you include paragraphs to show the different stages in the story. Please also try and include similies to add further description to your writing. Then continue writing narrative following your story mountain.

Please create your own job advertisement. Think carefully about why the person would want the job, what skills they would need and what interests they might have.
Please look back at your writing and check you have included all of the previous things listed on Thursday. Maybe share your narrative with an adult, can they give you any feedback on your narrative? Now please check spellings, capitals and punctuation. Read your story out aloud to help make sure it makes sense. Now, please write your narrative neatly onto the paper. Look at examples of book front covers and create your own to go with their text. Once finished you could also go on to create a blurb.

Think about the different types of materials bags are made up of. Think about how many types your family may use. For example, what are your shopping bags made out of? What about your school bag? Try to list as many different types of uses and materials for bags before designing your own Arctic bags including the materials you will use and the joining techniques you will use.
