If you are unable to access the internet at home then please let the office know and we will print and send home a learning pack for you.
Please note: the most effective work you can be doing with your child are the things that they should already be doing as often as possible.
- Reading and recording reading/tasks in their home school book 4 x per week.
- Completing and recording a maths activity in their home school diary 4 x per week.
- Checking their phonics/spelling knowledge using the mats provided.
- Exploring the world around them; introduce them to new terminology and promote good language skills.

To enable students the opportunity to get a full days work despite being off school, we have decided to take advantage of the Twinkl website's offer of free access for parents during this time. Please sign up as described below, then you can access the interactive resources by going onto the overview and clicking on the title, e.g. "Guided Reading Picture Activity." Clicking on the text will take you straight to the activity which you can then download. Please do not think you need to print off and hand in every piece of work - if you do not have access to a printer you can still answer questions given on a plain piece of paper. You can even just use these tasks as ideas for learning.
Go to www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and enter the code UKTWINKLHELPS
Please browse our class page to view photos of our learning and to find out more about how you can help your child at home. Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday but please ensure you have a PE kit in school all week. Homework will be sent home on Thursdays and is due back again on Tuesdays.
Spring 2 updates
What a great couple of weeks we have had . Last week we had fun creating Willow plates and exploring tempo and dynamics in music. Using drums, and inspired by Chinese dancing we made our own Chinese music. In science , we decided to investigate the effects of sunlight on the growth of a sunflower. After a week of watering and TLC , our seeds are starting to change. To our surprise, our sunflower in the dark started growing .
We have noticed that a few of our friends have been absent. If your child is off for any reason, please ensure that your child completes a Maths , English and Reading task at home which are linked below.
